Coronavirus Update

posted 09 Apr 2021 3 mins

We are very pleased to say that, in line with government guidance on easing coronavirus restrictions, we will be welcoming customers back to Fleet Street and Lowndes Street from Monday, 12 April. Both branches will be open for Cashier’s services from 10am-3pm, Monday to Friday.

Our safekeeping service is available by appointment; please let your relationship manager or the Cashiers team know when it will be convenient for you to deposit or collect items and they will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.

As always, the safety of our customers and staff is our priority and all precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 remain in place. Our porters will be on hand to help with social distancing, safety screens are installed, and the counter area will be freshly sanitised for each customer. Please be aware that face coverings remain a legal requirement for all visitors to the bank; porters will be happy to provide you with a disposable mask, but they will be unable to admit customers without appropriate protection (exemptions to the government’s ruling on face coverings can be viewed here).

While the Cashiers team is looking forward very much to greeting customers in Fleet Street and Lowndes Street, most bank staff are continuing to work remotely. Telephones, as usual, are manned 24/7, so there will always be someone to take your call, and letters will of course be answered; all post, including letters for bank staff usually based at Lowndes Street, should be directed to 37 Fleet Street, London EC4P 4DQ. For the time being, however, if you are able to contact your relationship manager by email, this will ensure the fastest response.

Additionally, online banking and our mobile app provide secure and convenient channels for much of your day-to-day banking. If you would like information on how to access these services, do please let your relationship manager know. Equally, if there are matters you prefer to discuss face to face, they will be delighted to arrange an online meeting.

This has been a hard year for so many and our warmest thoughts are with those who have suffered personal or business losses in the course of the pandemic. The bank has put in place a range of coronavirus support measures and we are always happy to discuss ways in which we may be able to help our customers through this difficult time.

If you have any questions about visiting our branches, or if there is anything else the bank can do for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your relationship manager. As ever, it will be their pleasure to help.
