The bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Abigail Malortie as partner. Abigail is a tenth-generation descendant of Sir Richard Hoare and the 51st partner in the bank’s history.

Abigail joined C. Hoare & Co. in 2020 and has held a wide range of roles in the Product, Risk, Private Banking, Finance and Treasury teams, as well as working with Messrs. Hoare Trustees Limited. She has been instrumental in embedding our purpose (to be ‘good bankers and good citizens’) at every level of the organisation.

Abigail brings a wide range of experience from her career prior to joining the bank. This includes working as a strategy consultant in the private sector, and in Whitehall as a strategy adviser. Abigail also has significant experience in the charitable sector, where she co-founded an educational charity, Centre for London.

Commenting on her appointment, Abigail said: “I am delighted to be joining the partnership of C. Hoare & Co. With an integral focus on being good bankers and good citizens, it is an organisation I am immensely proud to represent. I look forward to many years of service, getting to know our customers and further strengthening the bank for our colleagues and future generations.”
