We are pleased to announce the appointment of Marion King as an independent non-executive director of the bank.
Marion brings extensive experience to the role, with particular expertise in payments, cards and open banking. She moved away from full-time executive work in 2022 following a successful 30-year career in financial services. Most recently, she held the role of Director of Payments for the NatWest Group. Before that she was president of MasterCard UK & Ireland and CEO of VocaLink where she oversaw the successful launch of Faster Payments in the UK.
Currently chair and trustee of Open Banking Ltd., the national body set up by the Competition and Markets Authority, Marion also serves as non-executive director of Uber Payments UK, Bibby Financial Services, which is a family-owned business, and Cashflows, a fintech payments company.
